UNIT 33 AND 48: Narrative imagery

Screen Shot 2015-11-23 at 15.07.16Above is the definition of narrative imagery. To me this means a set of images make up a story. To me it also means a single image has a meaning behind it. For instance a black and white image of a Liverbird would have the meaning of the building is historic which is emphasised by black and white. A famous photographer who capturers amazing narrative images is Henri Cartier-Bresson. Bresson coined the phrase “the decisive moment” which to me is what narrative images is all about because narrative images is about that moment with a meaning behind it.
